First 'Thon Film Announced

We're pleased to announce (and tease) the first film for the 37th 'Thon.

It's a film that we eagerly awaited to see and when we did see it, found our expectations met. When we tell folks about it, we start by reminding them of Major Strasser interviewing Rick Blaine in his bistro in 'Casablanca'. In that scene, the Major talks about marching into New York City. And Rick calmly, coolly tells him that there are some sections of NYC that he shouldn't go marching into. That's what this film is. There are certain sections that aliens shouldn't invade. In this case it's London.

This indie film actually made it on some Top Ten lists, and it's our first announced 'Thon film with more to be announced soon.

Attack The Block

I missed this one on purpose hoping that it would show up at the marathon. I have seen the trailer and from all that I have heard about the movie, it seems a perfect movie for " this thing of ours". Well begun is hopefully half done.

Nice Work,
